Support: AB431 Verifies Immigration Status

Current Nevada Law requires the Director of the Dept of Business and Industry to maintain an internet website which provides a link that may be used by employers to verify the social security number of an employee.
In AB431 Section 1 provides that the Director may also maintain a link to any other source which the Director determines will assist the employer in verifying the immigration status of an employee.
Section 2 requires a public employer to verify the immigration status of an employee before allowing the person to work. Section 3 requires a public body (Legislature, City Counsel, County Commission, School District, etc.) to require contractors and other persons who work on public works contracts to verify immigration status of each employee.
Message: Vote YES on AB431 Verify immigration status for employment on public jobs. Please do more to stop illegal immigration.
