Illegal Alien INVASION—Why?

President Reagan said, “A nation without borders is no nation at all.” Why would our government leave our borders wide open?  Why would they leave us defenseless against criminal gangs, drug cartels and terrorists coming across the border?

It’s preposterous for our government to tell us that there is a “war on terror” supposedly to protect the American people when our borders are completely

porous.  We might as well hang a sign out that says “TERRORISTS, PLEASE CROSS HERE!” as Jim Gilchrist and Jerome R. Corsi, Ph.D. state in their new book, Minutemen The Battle to Secure America’s Borders.

In their book, Gilchrist and Corsi document the threat from terrorists. Out of some 4-6 million illegals attempting to cross our borders every year only 1 in 4 or 5 is apprehended according to the U.S. Border Patrol. 93 percent are Mexicans. Some 119,192 in 2005 were OTM’s (Other Than Mexicans) mostly from Middle Eastern countries.  When Mexicans are apprehended they are sent back over the border, so they can try again.  But, OTM’s are a different story.  Because of limited detention space most OTM’s are, as ridiculous as it seems, just let go with notices to appear before an immigration judge on a certain date.  Guess What?  The majority never appear.

“In testimony before Congress, then DHS Deputy Secretary Admiral James Loy testified that al-Qaeda was considering infiltrating across our southern border because of a belief that ‘illegal entry is more advantageous than legal entry for operational security reasons.’ “ Minutemen book.

On March 1, 2005, Mahmoud Youssef Kourani, an illegal alien, pled guilty to using meetings at his home in Michigan to raise money for Hezbollah’s terrorist activities in Lebanon.

How many other terrorists have gone undetected? How many others have disappeared into our communities?

Of course, the problem of the illegal alien invasion is not just about the terrorist, drug or criminal threat it poses to American citizens.  It’s about a huge host of problems created by some 20 million people in our country who have broken the law to get in here in the first place.  But, more importantly it’s about our politician-leaders who have refused to do anything about it.

Why would elected officials, starting with the President, allow American jobs to be taken by illegals, while Americans are losing their jobs to cheap foreign labor at home and from abroad?  Could the huge burden of illegals in our schools be one reason our schools are failing to educate American children?  Why are taxpayers forced to pay to educate the children of illegals in our schools?

When aliens come across the border illegally there is no background check, no health check like legal immigrants must undergo. Because of this, Multi-Drug Resistent Tuberculosis is rapidly expanding, Chagas, a parasite, has infiltrated America’s blood supply, and leprosy has reappeared.  With many Americans unable to afford health care –why do we treat illegals in our hospitals for free forcing many hospitals to close their doors?

When our own children are barely able to afford college why would our Nevada Legislators vote to allow illegals in Nevada to be eligible for the Millennium Scholarship?

Americans for Immigration Control estimated increased welfare costs to Nevada Taxpayers at $48,327,162, if Bush’s Guest Worker/Amnesty Program were to pass. Illegal households are 50% more likely to receive taxpayer funded government benefits than natural-born households.  Estimates of costs to all American taxpayers if Amnesty/Guest Worker were to pass are at least $50 billion a year.  No small chunk of change!

But, the question still remains—Why has our government left our borders open?

Who is benefiting? Well, certainly the employers of illegals are making money and global corporations like it when they can hire illegals instead of Americans who would demand a living wage. The corrupt Oligarchy in Mexico likes it too. They send their social problems to US and the illegals send their remittances back to Mexico, totaling $20 billion in 2005.

But recently, a more sinister reason came to light. In 2005, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) published a report calling for the establishment by 2010 of a North American Union – a merger between Canada, Mexico and the United States.  See article in this Voter Guide.

This threat of a merger between Canada, Mexico and the United States is real enough that on Oct. 1, 2006 World Net Daily www.worldnetdaily.com reported that U.S. Representative Virgil Goode Jr., and co-sponsors Congressman Tom Tancredo, Ron Paul, and Walter Jones, introduced a resolution – H.R. 487 – designed to express “the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union (NAU) with Mexico and Canada.”  Somebody is taking this threat seriously!

In this Voter Guide you will find the article by Phyllis Schlafly “Betrayal of American” that outlines the steps that Bush has already taken on the path towards merging the US, with Mexico and Canada.  On the web World Net Daily and others have carried numerous articles documenting it.  Even the government has been kind enough to put up a website for the “Security and Prosperity Partnership for North America” www.SPP.gov planning and paving the way for the North American Union.

The CFR outlined in their report a “common perimeter” for the U.S., Mexico and Canada. This means wide-open borders for the U.S. while integrating us with the socialism, corruption, poverty and population of Mexico and Canada.  What will the North American Union mean to US?

Who will benefit from the destruction of our borders, national sovereignty, and our Constitutional Republic?  Certainly, not the American people.  As President Reagan said, “A nation without borders is no nation at all.”
